Isaiah 11:6 Dairy Goats
Mitzi is our LGD in training. She was born August of 2023 and brought home December of 2023. She was a much easier puppy than Meeko and is fully reliable at 1 year old. She is 1/2 Karakachan, 1/2 a mix of Polish tatra, Maremma, Anatolian Shepherd, Spanish Mastiff, Akbash, and Komondor. She is more wary of strangers than Meeko but only barks a few times and then watches.
Meeko is our livestock guardian dog in remedial training. He was born July of 2022. He was a very difficult puppy to train to the animals, but has made great progress. Unfortunately he is not poultry safe. He was also registered as a therapy dog until he decided he would rather stay home with the animals. Meeko is a Turkish Boz/ Great Pyrenees cross.
Shiloh (Maremma) was our Livestock Guardian Dog. He lived with the goats and was an excellent guardian. He pass November of 2023 of kidney disease caused by Lyme we didn't catch soon enough. He is missed.
